“Be careful, Tommy!” Sarah Chen whispered from her study table, her black pigtails bouncing as she looked up from her star-patterned notebook. The wooden ladder creaked slightly as Tommy stretched further.

“Almost… got it!” Tommy’s fingers brushed against the leather-bound spine. The book seemed to almost jump into his hands, sending a small cloud of dust into the air. Both children sneezed, drawing a gentle “Shhh!” from Mrs. Baker, the librarian.

As Tommy opened the book, something slipped from between its pages and fluttered to the floor. Sarah quickly picked it up. “Tommy, look at this!” she whispered excitedly. It was an old piece of paper, yellowed with age.

Tommy and Sarah beamed with pride. Their adventure had uncovered a precious piece of school history. The principal smiled warmly, “How would you two like to help us create a new time capsule to bury alongside this one?”

As they walked home that evening, Tommy and Sarah couldn’t stop grinning. Sometimes the greatest treasures aren’t gold or jewels, but the stories and memories of those who came before us.
