In the warm light of the setting sun, Jesus stood on a grassy hill, watching over his flock of sheep. He held a tall wooden staff in his hand, looking out across the peaceful valley. As he counted his sheep, he noticed something was wrong. One little lamb with a pink ribbon was missing from the group.
The little lamb had wandered away from the flock and was now scared and alone. It had gotten itself stuck near some big rocks, making soft, frightened bleating sounds. The sun was starting to set, casting long shadows across the hills, and the little lamb didn’t know how to get back to its family.

Jesus began walking down the rocky path, carefully looking for the lost lamb. He could hear its scared little voice coming from somewhere among the rocks. The evening was getting cooler, and Jesus knew he had to find the lamb quickly.
As he moved between the large rocks, he followed the sound of the lamb’s crying. Finally, he spotted the little one – its white wool and pink ribbon visible between two big rocks. The lamb was trying to free itself but couldn’t move. Jesus spoke softly to the lamb, “Don’t be afraid, little one. I’m here to help you.”

Jesus carefully reached down to where the little lamb was stuck. With gentle, strong hands, he lifted the scared lamb free from the rocks. The lamb stopped crying as soon as it felt Jesus’s warm, safe embrace. He checked to make sure the lamb wasn’t hurt, gently brushing off some dust from its wool.
The little lamb snuggled close to Jesus, feeling safe and protected. Its pink ribbon was a bit dusty, but the lamb was perfectly fine. Jesus smiled warmly, happy to have found his lost little friend.

As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, Jesus sat down in the soft grass, holding the little lamb in his arms. The lamb was no longer scared – it felt peaceful and protected. Jesus spoke softly to the lamb, telling it stories about how much he cares for all his sheep.
The little lamb’s eyes grew heavy as it listened to Jesus’s gentle voice. Safe in his arms, under the starry sky, the lamb drifted off to sleep. Jesus smiled, knowing that his little lost lamb was now safe and sound, ready to rejoin its family in the morning.
