Eddie the elephant stood in his bathroom, scratching his head with his trunk. It was morning time, and he needed to brush his teeth, but his giant toothbrush was nowhere to be seen. His tiny friend Morris the Mouse stood on the sink counter, watching Eddie’s confused expression.
“Oh dear,” Eddie sighed, his voice echoing off the bathroom tiles. “I always put my toothbrush right here beside the sink!” His trunk waved at the empty spot where his toothbrush should be.
Morris adjusted his red bowtie and twitched his whiskers thoughtfully. “Don’t worry, Eddie! We’ll find it together. When did you last use it?”
Eddie’s large ears flapped as he thought hard. “Last night, before bed… I think.” He moved his trunk around the sink area, accidentally knocking over a bottle of soap with a *splish-splash*.

The search began! Eddie’s trunk peeked under the bathtub while Morris scampered around the toilet. “Not here!” called Eddie, his voice muffled as his trunk explored the dark space under the tub.
“Not behind the toilet either!” squeaked Morris, hopping down from the toilet tank. The morning sun made sparkly patterns on the tile floor as they moved around the bathroom.
Eddie looked in the shower, behind the curtain with its funny bubble pattern. *Swoosh* went the curtain as his trunk pushed it aside. “Oh!” he exclaimed as several toys tumbled out. A rubber duck squeaked as it bounced across the floor, but still no toothbrush.
Morris stood on his tippy-toes, whiskers twitching. “Maybe it’s not in the bathroom at all?”

Following Morris’s suggestion, they moved their search to Eddie’s bedroom. Eddie lifted his big bed with his trunk – *creak* went the bed frame. “Not under here,” he said, carefully setting the bed back down.
Morris scurried across the dresser top, peering behind picture frames. Suddenly, his eyes grew wide. “Eddie! Look behind your dresser!”
Eddie’s trunk snaked behind the heavy wooden dresser, and – “Aha!” There was his toothbrush, covered in dust bunnies! “It must have fallen back there when I was dancing to my morning song yesterday!”

Back in the bathroom, Eddie held his now-clean toothbrush triumphantly. Morris stood on the edge of the sink, demonstrating proper brushing technique with his tiny paws. “Up and down, side to side!” he instructed.
Eddie followed along, his trunk moving the big toothbrush carefully. The minty toothpaste made his trunk tingle pleasantly. In the mirror, he could see his tusks getting shinier with each brush.
“There!” said Morris proudly. “Now let’s put the toothbrush in its proper place – where we can find it tomorrow morning!”
Eddie laughed, making sure to place his toothbrush in its special holder. “Next time,” he promised, “I’ll be more careful where I put it after my morning dance!”
