Young wizard Harry Potter begins his first flying lesson with Professor Hawthorne in the magical courtyard of Hogwarts.

In the golden light of dawn, young Harry Potter stood nervously in the courtyard of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His small hands gripped a polished wooden broomstick while Professor Hawthorne, with his flowing emerald robes and kind eyes, demonstrated the proper flying technique.

“Now, young wizard,” Professor Hawthorne said gently, “remember to hold your broomstick firmly but not too tight.” The morning sun cast long shadows across the ancient cobblestones as other young wizards watched from wooden benches along the courtyard walls. Floating lanterns cast a warm, amber glow around them, adding to the magical atmosphere.

Harry Potter’s heart fluttered like a snitch as he looked at his broomstick. The morning air was crisp and clean, carrying the sweet scent of morning dew and ancient stone.

With a deep breath, Harry Potter followed Professor Hawthorne’s instructions. “Up!” he commanded, and to his surprise, the broomstick jumped right into his hand. Slowly, he felt his feet leave the ground. His stomach did a little flip as he rose higher and higher into the morning sky.

Luna, his snowy owl friend, flew gracefully beside him, offering encouraging hoots. The golden training hoops floated ahead, their magical glow beckoning him forward. Harry Potter’s hands trembled slightly as he gripped the broomstick, trying to remember everything Professor Hawthorne had taught him.

“Keep your balance, Harry Potter!” called Professor Hawthorne from below. “Think of the broomstick as part of yourself!”

Suddenly, something wonderful happened. As Harry Potter relaxed and trusted himself, the broom stopped wobbling. A warm feeling of confidence spread through his chest as he leaned forward, guiding his broomstick through the first golden hoop. Magical sparkles trailed behind him as he flew.

Luna soared beside him, her white feathers gleaming in the sunlight. Together they weaved through the training course, each successful pass making Harry Potter’s smile grow bigger. The wind whistled past his ears as he zoomed higher and higher, feeling as free as a bird.

“Excellent form, young wizard!” Professor Hawthorne’s voice carried up from below, filled with pride.

As Harry Potter gently landed back in the courtyard, his fellow students burst into applause. Professor Hawthorne approached with a beaming smile, his star-patterned robes swishing as he walked. “Well done, Harry Potter! You’ve shown remarkable progress today.”

Luna perched nearby, puffing up her chest proudly as Professor Hawthorne presented Harry Potter with a golden-edged flying certificate. Magical confetti sparkled in the air around them, and celebration banners waved gently in the breeze.

“Remember this moment, young wizard,” Professor Hawthorne said kindly, “for it marks the beginning of many magical adventures to come.” Harry Potter clutched his broomstick close, knowing that this was just the first of many wonderful lessons at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
