Hoppy Rabbit bounced excitedly at the airport entrance, his blue striped bow tie perfectly matching his usually neat appearance. Today was special – he and his mother were going to visit Grandmother Rabbit. The afternoon sun streamed through the tall glass windows, making the marble floor sparkle.

“Remember to keep your backpack close, dear,” Mother Rabbit reminded him, adjusting her reading glasses while checking their tickets. Hoppy nodded, reaching for his backpack… but it wasn’t there! His pink nose twitched anxiously as he looked around. “Mama! My backpack is gone!” he exclaimed, his long ears drooping with worry.

At the security checkpoint, Officer Bear noticed Hoppy’s distress. “What seems to be the trouble, young rabbit?” he asked kindly, his shiny badge gleaming under the fluorescent lights.

“I can’t find my backpack,” Hoppy explained, his voice quivering. “It has my special carrot snacks and my favorite storybook!”

Officer Bear smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry, little one. Let’s think – when did you last see it?”

Hoppy’s ears perked up as he thought hard. “I had it when we took the airport shuttle… maybe it’s still there!”

Following Officer Bear’s directions, Hoppy and his mother hurried to the lost and found counter. Ms. Fox, with her bright orange fur and friendly smile, greeted them warmly.

“Hello! How can I help you today?” she asked, her paws ready at the computer keyboard.

“My backpack is missing,” Hoppy explained, standing on his tiptoes to see over the counter. “It’s blue and white, with a carrot patch on the front!”

Ms. Fox typed quickly, her tail swishing thoughtfully. “Ah!” she exclaimed after a moment. “Good news! The shuttle driver just brought in a backpack matching that description!”

Sitting in the cozy airport cafe, Hoppy hugged his recovered backpack tightly while Mother Rabbit sipped her tea. The golden evening sun made everything look warm and peaceful.

“I’m so glad we found it,” Hoppy said, carefully placing his backpack on the chair beside him. “Next time, I’ll be more careful with my things.”

Mother Rabbit smiled proudly. “You handled the situation very well, dear. And look – we even have time for a special treat!” She pushed a plate of carrot cake toward him.

As they enjoyed their snack, Hoppy felt grateful for the kind airport staff who had helped him. He had learned an important lesson about responsibility, and now he was ready for their journey to Grandmother’s house.
