In a cozy treehouse shop filled with ticking clocks, Sammy the Sloth hung upside down from a wooden beam, doing what he did best – sleeping. The morning sun peeked through round windows, making the countless alarm clocks shimmer and shine. Sammy wore his favorite blue bow tie, which was now pointing straight up due to his upside-down position.
“Tick-tock, RING-RING!” The sound of dozens of alarm clocks filled the air. Sammy slowly opened one eye, then the other. “Oh my, is it opening time already?” he yawned, showing his tiny teeth. With careful movements that looked like they were happening in slow motion, he reached for the nearest branch and began his morning stretch.
The shop was a wonderful sight to behold. Clocks of every size and color lined the wooden shelves – some round, some square, some shaped like flowers, and others like stars. A large golden clock in the center of the wall proudly displayed the time, its pendulum swinging back and forth with a gentle “swoosh.”

As the morning progressed, customers began to arrive. A rabbit wearing red-rimmed glasses hopped in, looking around with interest. “Excuse me,” she said, tapping her foot rapidly, “I need the loudest alarm clock you have. I can’t be late for my morning carrot-picking!”
Sammy moved in slow motion toward the counter, carefully picking up a rainbow-colored alarm clock. “This one is per-fect-ly loud,” he said, each syllable taking a full second to pronounce. Just as he was about to demonstrate it, his eyes started to droop.
“RING-RING-RING!” The alarm clock suddenly went off in his hands, making him jump so high his bow tie flipped around. The rabbit customer couldn’t help but giggle. “Well, it certainly works!” she said, adjusting her glasses.

Later that afternoon, something unexpected happened. One by one, alarm clocks began to ring. First the small ones on the bottom shelf, then the medium-sized ones in the display case, and finally the giant ones on the top shelf. The shop filled with a symphony of “RING-RING,” “DING-DING,” and “BUZZ-BUZZ!”
Sammy moved as quickly as a sloth could (which wasn’t very quick at all) trying to turn them off. He stretched his long arms up to reach the high shelves, then down to the lower ones, spinning in slow circles as more and more clocks joined the chorus.
The shop filled with curious animal customers, all watching and laughing as Sammy danced his slow-motion dance among the ringing clocks. “Oh dear, oh my,” he kept saying, reaching for one clock after another with his curved claws.

As the sun began to set, casting an orange glow through the round windows, Sammy finally managed to synchronize all the clocks. He sat in his comfortable chair behind the counter, surrounded by the now-peaceful “tick-tock” of hundreds of timepieces moving in perfect harmony.
Looking around his shop with sleepy satisfaction, Sammy smiled. Yes, he was the slowest shopkeeper in the forest, and yes, he sometimes fell asleep while showing customers his alarm clocks. But that just proved how good his clocks were – they could even wake up the sleepiest sloth in the world!
As he began to doze off in his chair, wearing his slightly crooked blue bow tie, the gentle ticking of the clocks created the perfect lullaby. After all, who better to test alarm clocks than someone who loved to sleep?
